Get by General French (typical syllabus)

  • Presenting Oneself – talking about who we are, our families, where we come from, what we do for a living, what we like to do in our spare time, addressing people  
  • Time – telling the time, numbers, days, months of the year
  • Money – how we spend it, how to deal with it on holiday (credit cards, cash machines, I.D etc.), useful expressions
  • Food – shopping for food, eating out, French dishes and wines
  • Getting about – Driving, asking for directions, road signs, different forms of transport

The minimum length of a course is 10 hours with classes lasting either 1 or 1½ hours
