Yorkshire French on BBC Radio Leeds
Posted By: Paul Ridley Date: 08/08/2023I was fortunate enough to be invited onto the BBC Radio Leeds, Gayle Lofthouse daytime show. The feature dealt with useful phrases that might come in handy for Brits holidaying in France.
Examples include
“Est-ce que vous pouvez recommander un restaurant végétarien, pas trop cher près d’ici ? » (Can you recommend a reasonable prices vegetarian restaurant in the area?)
“On peut avoir une table pour trois personnes s’il vous plaît ? » (Can we have a table for 3 please?).
It was a fun experience…helped greatly by the fact that Gayle has an A level in French from 30 years ago!
